I like that Amen means: Truth.
See, at church yesterday the pastor was at the very end of the last sermon, in a series of sermons, on the book of Revelation.
He noted how the bible ends with a warning, and a proclamation of truth.
(Revelation 22:18-21)
While he was winding down, he was saying all of his sentences in a cadence.
A cadence that you knew would solicit a response.
He noted how Amen needed to be said more by the congregation during his sermons.
He made his final statement.
“And all of God’s people said”
The crowd responded: “Amen!” as you were silent.
So, one second later, you enthusiastically responded, “Amen” as the crowd was silent.
Consequently, the closest six rows of people turned to look.
And everyone just smiled at you.
Mom and I were beaming at each other with endearing smiles too.
I love that you are so eager to participate.
I love you
