Nursemaid Elbow

Nursemaid Elbow

K, you got Nursemaid elbow this last Friday.

Or, said more correctly:

H gave you Nursemaid’s elbow this last Friday!

I got home from work at 5:15.

By 5:30, K you were screaming in pain and we thought you had a broken arm.

It started with you girls being crazy.

You were running and screaming and playing – because even kids can feel when it’s Friday.

Mom and I stepped out of the bedroom for a minute and then all we heard was screaming.

After a lot of coaxing, I learned from H that she was on the bed, holding you by the hands, trying to pull you up from the floor.

I think at one point, I was the only person in the house not crying.

We whisked everyone to the ER and were – thankfully – talking to a doctor in less than 15 minutes.

K, while you screamed in protest, the doctor popped your elbow right back into place.

By the time she explained it all to us, you were already moving your arm better.

I thought mom was gonna try to kiss that doctor.

I love you.

The Shapes

The Shapes

K, you have a love for drawing right now too.

I am not sure you would give me a proper answer yet.

So I am going to title this one:

“The Shapes.”

I drew the shapes.

And you added the beautiful randomness,

I hope you draw me a million more pictures.

I love you.

Paper

Paper Goes To Boards

H, you didn’t hesitate when I asked you what the title to this was.

Most art and paintings have a title, like a book, that the artist calls it. What is this called?” I explained.

Without hesitation you said:

“Paper Goes To Boards.”

You said mom is with the surprised look, you are crying, and dad is in the back with K.

I love you.
