Kiss Your Children

Kiss Your Children

Kiss your children anytime they will allow you.

And when they don’t want you to kiss them – scoop ’em up anyway – and give them a big quick kiss on the cheek!

Anyway, today you turned 20 months old, H.

And tonight, just after your mom and I laid you down in your bed to sleep, and were saying goodnight, you made a “Mmmm” sound, and moved your head a few inches toward me.

I was not sure what you wanted, so I got down closer.

You did it again and then got up to get me.

I leaned in and kissed you on the lips and immediately after I did, you contently laid back down to go to sleep.

Oh, gosh.

You don’t need my heart. You already have it.

I love you.

Be Professional

Be Professional

No matter how old you are, be a professional at work.

Don’t say anything about anyone that you would not say to their face.

And if you have something to say because you are mad, frustrated, or hurt – wait for 24 to 48 hours before you say it.

You will find that the next day, 99 times out of 100, you will think:

Oh, who cares.  It’s not worth getting mad about.”

I love you.
