Take It

Take It

If there is anything you want out of life, go take it for yourself.

A coach I had would always say:

If someone reaches to hand you a one-hundred dollar bill, do you wait and ask, Is this for me?  Are you sure?  Or, do you grab it, say Thanks. And walk away before they change their mind?

Not a great analogy – but the point is made.

Want a better relationship with God?
To have a better family life?
A better relationship with your kids?
To earn a Ph.D.?  An M.D.?
To write a book?
Run a marathon?
Or, start a successful business?

Get up and do it.

Nobody is going to hand it to you.

Action is everything.

I love you.

Waffle House

Waffle House

Is Waffle House still around?

Eat there, often.

Boy, I am a sucker for a big country style breakfast.

Waffle House All-Star Breakfast with black coffee, please.

I am so glad all the times we got to eat there together.

I love you.

On College

On College

Use your time in college to get an education.

Don’t necessarily study the subject you want a job in.

For example, you think you might want to be a High School teacher.

With a degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science, accounting, or the like – one could be an incredible teacher while having a host of other options also available.

However, degrees in psychology, gender studies, communications, art, and the like – offer much fewer options.

Choose what is hard – choose to acquire a skill.

I love you.
