Touch A Truck

Today was a good day.

It was hard because, H, you went to bed last night with a fever.

That meant that we, of course, had to skip the end-of-year pool party for your Halo Hoopsters team.

K was disappointed too because siblings we all invited to go.

Anyway, words were had, whining ensued, and a tear or two was possibly shed.

But, we salvaged the day.

See, mom read about this event by the mall, “Touch-a-truck.”

It was simply this big expo kind of event where organizations set up booths to hand out information and nick-nacks.

But with that, half the trucks in Lubbock were on display for kids to crawl around in.

There were tractors, excavators, dump trucks, moving trucks, police cars, swat wagons, city buses, school buses, utility trucks, gators, lawnmowers, and bulldozers.

We climbed on the all.

Truth be told, T, we went because of you.

It would never occur to me to take three girls under the age of 8 to a heavy equipment event – but girl – trucks are your thing.

You love them. You point them out everywhere we go and even talk about them at home.

Afterward, we went to Claire’s in the mall and then to Abuelo’s for lunch.

Like I said, it was a good day.

I love you.

Anxiety And Fear, Sermon Notes

Title: Anxiety And Fear
Speaker: Zack Randles
Location: Lubbock, TX
Date: 3 April 2022
Verse: Genesis 7-8

Even those living in the center of God’s will can experience isolation and fear (Genesis 7:20-24).

The question: What should I do with fear and anxiety?

I. Remember God’s constant presence (Genesis 8:1).
God remembers you and all you are over.
God remembered Noah.

II. Watch for changes (Genesis 8:1).
Have you bought into the lie that nothing will ever change?

III. Acknowledge and receive the gift of rest (Genesis 8:4).
Rest will not solve your problems but it will make your mind clearer and your journey more pleasant.

IV. Rejoice when you see affirmation of your hope (Genesis 8:5).
Visual peaks are a measuring stick for God’s handiwork.
Does the entire mountain have to be revealed for you to rejoice?
