Last One Year Old

Welp, tonight was my last night ever having a child that is a one-year-old. 😢

Everyone is lying in bed right now and we are all as tired as can be.

We’re at the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio.

We drove down from Kerrville mid-morning, swam this afternoon, and watched a movie out on the lawn this evening.

We got Taco Cabana delivered to the hotel and y’all ate in the room like a bunch of pampered princesses.

It’s all quiet and beautiful right now.

And K, you turn two tomorrow!?

I feel like I want to stay up and write something profound and moving, but I am so happily tired that I have to call it quits.

I love you.

Early From School

I am not sure I told you this about my new job or not.

Yes, sure, it’s great that I am back in cotton.

It’s awesome that I get to trade futures contracts for a living.

Yes, it’s fantastic that I don’t have to work at AgriSompo anymore.

I am paid well, I have good benefits, I have a company credit card, and I have more freedom than I have ever had before.

But…

Do you know what the best part is?

The best part is that I get to pick you up from school early every day.

School lets out (3:30 til 4:00) and I get to come and get you then.

You don’t have to go to “afterschool care” until 5:30.

Cutting out early from work and getting you early from school is one of the highlights of my day.

I simply love the extra time.

I love you.

Ball Away

H, we are mid season in another year of Halo Hoopsters Basketball.

And you are doing fantastic.

I simply love how you are aggressive and will simply go take the ball away from the other team!

We won our first one or two games and have tied the last two.

Anyway, you are older this year and it’s like I expect a little more out of you.

I find myself coaching/yelling from the sidelines and maybe being a bit harder on you that the rest of the girls on the team.

I sorry if I was ever rude or said something that made you feel small or unloved.

You are dearly loved.

And I am your biggest cheerleader.

I love you.
