I love the idea of blessing children.

Yesterday morning I was reading about the blessing that Isaac gave to Jacob.

Genesis 27:28-29:
Therefore may God give you
Of the dew of heaven,
Of the fatness of the earth,
And plenty of grain and wine.
Let peoples serve you,
And nations bow down to you.
Be master over your brethren,
And let your mother’s sons bow down to you.
Cursed be everyone who curses you,
And blessed be those who bless you!”

I love you so much.

It’s seems silly, but let me try one.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and your mom and dad keep and hold you.
I pray he gives you the desires of your heart and guides you all your days.
Let your blessings be too many, and your pains too few.
May he shape you day by day, and may you always return to him.
