Have Cash

H, back when you were at Learning Tree, this happened and I forgot to tell the story.

This one day there was a bake sale in the front office.

I think the Kindergartners do it every year. Or maybe I am inventing things.

Anyway. We were walking past their setup and you asked me to buy you something.

I quietly told you no. And that I didn’t have any money for it anyway. They only accepted cash.

In a heartbeat, you announced to the entire room, with a dozen parents and kids coming and going:

We can’t get anything because my dad does not have any money!

Everyone exploded with laughter.

Laughing too, I told the room:

I don’t have CASH! That’s different.

Ha!

I love you, goose.

You make me laugh everyday.

I love you.

My Soap

You girls like the smell of my soap more than mom’s soap.

And it just kills her. Bahahaha!

See, whenever we take showers instead of a bath, I offer you a choice before we start with the soap:

Do you want mom’s soap? Or dad’s soap?

9 times out of 10 you are both picking my soap.

But it doesn’t stop there.

You even prefer my hand-soap to mom’s.

So much so that, H, if you want to use mom’s sink to wash your hands, you switch the soaps before you begin.

Honestly, it took us a few days to figure out what was happening…

I get it.

I love a good soap smell too.

None of that stinky stuff like mom uses. 😉

I love you.

Stickers Everywhere

Girls, I love – love – the fact that you two put sticker everywhere.

H started it.

And K, you have taken to it like a duck to water.

Plain and simple, you put stickers all over our house with both a flair of artistry and a dash of randomness .

The funny part is that I could see so many parents getting upset over this.

Heavens! The paint might come off of the wall!

Oh, who cares.

Soon enough you won’t even care about stickers.

I am going to enjoy it while I can.

I love you.
