Remember You Now

H,

I hope I remember you as you were last night.

You were asleep laid back on my pillow.

Your right arm is extended straight, left arm curled back towards the top of your head on the left side.

For pajamas, you have PJ Mask on.

And your tummy is slightly showing between the bottom of your shirt and the top of your pants.

Your left pants leg is slightly pulled up on your calf.

Mouth open, hair braided into pigtails.

And your chest is slowly rising and falling gently with each breath.

You are beautiful.

I love you.

Hibachi First

Pop and Gammies came to town this weekend to celebrate mom’s birthday.

We went to a Japanese steakhouse and sushi bar on Saturday for lunch (Hayashi).

The fun of it was that we sat at the Hibachi grill and watched them cook.

I don’t even know if H or K was more memorized with it all.

It was both your first time.

H, you told us you loved it.

K, you watched every move the cook made.

We all tried to sit outside and visit when we got home but we didn’t last long.

Mid-May, it’s already getting too hot to be outside in the late afternoon.

H and K, the next morning you were both adorable in your mother’s day dresses.

I think they were the same dresses you wore at Easter, but you wore them even better, if that’s possible.

We took pictures in the front yard after church and I wished I could freeze time.

I love you.

Sadie In Heaven

H,

Your heart is so sweet and soft right now.

We were saying prayers last night.

At the end, we were all goodnight to everyone.

“Goodnight Mommy.”

“Goodnight Daddy.”

“Goodnight K.”

“Goodnight Huck.”

At the end of it you said:

“Goodnight Sadie.”

“Goodnight Sadie far away in heaven with Jesus.”

I guess Sadie has been gone about two months now.

I love you.
