Monopoly Comeback

K, I just want to say you had the most epic Monopoly comeback the other day when you and mom and I were playing board games.

Legit you were one roll from being out. You were completely out of money. It’s your turn. And if you roll anything but a six – you are out.

You rolled a six.

And then mom landed on one of your properties.

Then you passed Go and got paid. And then I landed on a property of yours and had to pay you too. And on it went.

Mom finally went out sometime later and you came in second place, but it was amazing to watch!

We were all hooping and hollering on every roll.

They way you smile with all of your baby teeth is magical.

H was on a playdate and I am glad we got to spend the afternoon with you.

I love you.

Just Your Shirt

K, you rolled over in bed yesterday morning (yes you still come and get in out bed in the middle of the night) and told me the funniest story.

You were half asleep still.

You had a pleasant look on your face, grinning, nearly laughing.

We snuggled each other in that blur of time between when the alarm goes off and you are fully awake.

You opened your eyes and told me, nearly laughing:

Daddy, I had a dream that your shirt was Huck’s hair. In my dream I was rubbing Huck. But when I woke up, it was just your shirt.

Ha!

I’m not sure why it tickled us so much but we laughed about it off and on all day.

My sweet baby’s dreams.

I love you.

Tell You

K, biscuit.

You have started using this phrase that is just the cutest thing.

When you are wanting our attention you preface every other thing you tell mom and I with:

I was hoping to tell you…

Dad! I was hoping to tell you that I wanted to see if we could go get ice-cream later today.”

Mom, I was hoping to tell you that I think we should have a girls night tonight if that is ok with you.”

You are at this perfect age with it – and it is just the sweetest thing.

I love you.
