Raider Power

Raider Power

So we have gone to a number of Tech basketball games in the last year or so.

In the process, you girls have picked up a few things.

You know about where we park, the way we walk to the stadium, and where we like to sit.

And naturally, you have picked up the habit – ya’ll got it from mom – of ordering popcorn and Coke before we head to our seats.

But today, on the way home from church, ya’ll broke into spontaneous cheer.

K started it all by yelling: “Raider!…Power!” all on her own.

We all immediately joined in and kept up the back and forth almost the entire way home from church.

H and K, from the back seats: “Raider!”

Mom and Dad, from the front seats: “Power!”

Maybe we need season tickets? We’ll see.

I love you.

Reba McEntire Singing

Reba McEntire Singing

K, tonight I held you in the bathroom and we danced and sang to Reba McEntire singing Amazing Grace.

After a long day, without much sleep the night before, I needed it.

Thank you.

Afterwards, we all took showers and got ready for bed.

I slept like a bear.

I love you.

Magna-tiles

Magna-tiles

I had such high hopes of us all being in bed early tonight.

But after gymnastics and then dinner, we all got to playing with these little building blocks, these little magnetic tiles, called Magna-tiles.

It was a blast.

Even mom and I got to playing and using our imaginations.

We all sat around the dining room table passing pieces back and forth as we took turns laughing at our creations.

By the time teeth were brushed, pajamas were on, nighttime books were read, and prayers were said, it was after 9.

We did get to finish Disney’s: Growing Up Wild on Netflix.

I took a minute to myself while mom showered, but K was crying again in less than hour.

When do children start sleeping through the night again?

I’m tired now.

I love you.
