Kind Of Game

K, my sweet flower.

You are just the sweetest thing right now.

But I have to tell you about what happened at Grandma and Grandpa’s house this last week.

The first night there you slept with Mom in my old bed, and I slept in the rec room with T.

On the second night, we switched, and I slept with you in my room.

All that to say – you all went to bed way before I did – and I stayed up super late talking to Grandma and Grandpa.

When I finally came upstairs, I quietly got ready for bed, showered, brushed my teeth, and tiptoed over to you.

As I eased onto the bed and under the covers, you shifted and loudly said:

That’s enough. You know what kind of game this is.

Hahaha. 🤣

What in the world were you dreaming about?!

I have no idea.

But Monopoly is my guess.

I love you.

Midnight Bread

K, I just wrote a post on bread, so this is especially weird.

I stayed up late last night watching a movie on my phone.

It got so late that I eventually got hungry and broke into the pantry and ate a few slices of bread with butter.

I finish the movie and off to shower and bead.

No big deal, right?

The next day, Mom is bewildered.

Why is the bread lying out? And who ate it?

And here’s the thing: You and I both say it was us!

Apparently, after I went to bed – you got up in the middle of the night and ate a few slices of bread too! 🤣

You and I, just lurking around the house when everyone else is asleep, eating bread in the dark. Hahahaha!

I say great minds think alike.

I love you.

Snaggle

K, you are officially a snaggle-tooth for a bit now.

You have had one of the best toothy smiles for so long now…

The most perfect set of beautiful little teeth…

Annnd – you just lost one of your front teeth.😢

You came home on Monday with your mouth covered, pretending to be a ventriloquist with one of my old toys, Spike.

I didn’t catch on.

But five minutes later you let a smile slip in the bathroom mirror and I immediately started yelling for Mom.

No joke: Watching y’all grow up and change is hard!

I love you.
