Beautiful And Perfect

H, you are seven. K you are four. And T, you are nearly nine-months.

And I just can’t even right now.

The time is going by so fast and everyone is so beautiful and perfect – I feel a sense of eternity in it all.

Time stands still for a moment, and then it is never the same again.

Maybe I’m just tired tonight.

But the accelerating blur of years is heavy right now.

I want every beautiful part if this life to last a bit longer.

I love you.

Baptized One Day

Your cousin Chloe got baptized today.

We went to Midland yesterday and stayed the night so we could be there early for the church service.

Pop even made it to the end of rona quarantine and got to come and watch.

Mom, T, and I stayed in a hotel.

H and K, you had a sleepover with all your cousins.

(K, I learned later that you insisted Aunt Jenny sleep with you in the air mattress. So she did.)

All three of you slept off and on on the ride back home.

There’s just something about driving in a quiet car with exhausted and sleeping kids in the back.

I can’t wait till all of you girls accept Christ and get baptized one day.

From the bottom of my heart I love you.

I love you.
