Cool Seven Hours

It was all swimming all day long with your cousins today.

Honestly I feel like I spent half the day back and forth trying to find out who was with who, was headed where, and needed what.

After a cool seven hours of swimming, we all ordered Double Dave’s pizza and ate dinner in the lobby in front of the little store.

The sky opened up a little while later and it began pouring rain on us while we were at the s’mores station roasting marshmallows.

Consequently, the movie on the lawn (Trolls 2) got moved inside to one of the large conference rooms.

K, you fell asleep on the floor before it ended.

I don’t think I can keep this schedule up.

And judging by your tired eyes – I don’t think you girls can either.

Let’s work less and take more vacations. Ok?

I love you.

Back To The Hotel

Another full-full day at the pool and lazy river today.

There were only three notable differences between today and the last two days.

One, H, you made a friend and spent half the day playing with her (her name was Ellie).

Two, K, you were done with swimming and ready to go back to the hotel room by lunchtime.

And three, the cousins got here around eight this evening.

They showed a movie tonight on the back lawn but H, you were the only one of us that got to watch.

T, you were headed to bed and asleep before it started (mom stayed with you).

K, it was so late, you were done and ready to go back to the room after 10 minutes (I brought you back to the room).

H, you miraculously stayed for the entire thing! You sat with the Daves and they brought you back to our room when the movie was over.

You were dead on your feet with exhaustion – just as a seven-year-old should be on a hot summer night.

Ok. I’m off to bed now too.

I love you.

Rows And Rows

So the only thing different than yesterday was that today we left the pool around 1 PM.

We left and did a drive-thru safari at Natural Bridge Caverns, picked up Bill Miller BBQ on the way back to the hotel, and called it a day.

Before bed we all went on a long walk around the property.

We stopped for smores and then explored the far hallways of the building.

Their were rows and rows of conference rooms and you girls ran and squealed the entire way.

The cousins get here tomorrow and that will be fun, but I sure enjoyed the time that it was just us.

I love you.
