Stop Washing Dishes

I make it a point to stop washing dishes when I think about it.

In an effort to keep up with the task, I try to do it daily. But frequently I am given pause.

I think:

I could wash these later. I mean, in 40 years, would I trade 30 minutes of sleep, or reading, or TV time, to go back in time and hold, play, or sit with my girls again when they were three and six?

Of course I would.

So I remind myself of this yet again tonight.

I have girls to be with. And washing dishes can wait.

Forgive me for every time I forgot this.

You are one of the great joys of my life.

I love you.

Baby Moon

We all went on a baby moon this last weekend.

One last get out of town excuse before baby T is here.

We spent one day in Ruidoso. And then two days at the Hyatt Tamaya.

Only problem, I was sick for nearly all of it.

I felt like I had a sinus infection by Ruidoso, but by the time we got to the Hyatt I had chills and fever.

I slept and drank Gatorade while all you girls went to the zoo and out for lunch (McAlister’s) the next day.

That evening I was running at about 50% but we all went down stairs and roasted smores over the fire and then we are room service picnic style on the floor.

The next day we stopped for breakfast at Frontier on the way home.

It feels like I missed a lot of stuff, but I am so glad you girls all had a good time together.

I love you.
