Heavy Birthdays

I don’t feel like I have had a lot of heavy birthdays.*

But today was one.

K, you turn three tomorrow. And I find myself eat up and a little emotional about the swift passing of time.

Like a rushing of water that cannot be held back, another year goes by.

I want more full days like today. And I want to be more daily aware of how sweet and beautiful nearly everything is.

I got to live! And I got to be your dad!

And I am so thankful for all of that.

I love you.

-Dad

*Ok. I did freak out a little bit when I turned 29.
