Lip Smacking

T, you have absolutely got lip smacking down.

It’s your new thing.

And you have a good three weeks practice at this point.

You will pop you lips together and smack them apart over and over.

Now and then, you will get your tongue in there too and pop your lips around your tongue as you open your mouth.

It feels like we are having a conversation when we smack and pop back and forth looking at each other

I love you.

Cutest Growler

T, T-dog

I have no idea what has happened, but over the last few you weeks you have become the cutest growler in the world.

Honestly, I think you picked it up from another one of the babies at school.

You do it almost as another form of talking.

So instead of babbling when be make eye contact, or you want to get my attention, I’ll just get a little:

Grrrrrruuuurrrrr

And, of course – being a dad – I always growl back at you too.

You are just perfect.

I love you.

Big Old Baby

T, I just love you – you big old baby.

It’s just a thing I call you.

See, at least once every day or so, I pick you up and recline you back in my hands facing me.

Your rear-end is on my stomach with your feet on my chest.

And we are face to face.

I bounce you gently as I sing to you in a chant.

Hey you big old baby.
Hey you big old baby.
Hey you big old – big old – big old – big old – big old baby.

You cackle and laugh and smile when I sing – and I love you more and more with each bounce.

I love you.
