Tall One

T, you are scaring us right now.

You are two months old and you are stretching and pushing at the end of your, size three-month, pajamas.

You might turn out to be a tall one!

I frequently pick you up and am surprised how long you have gotten.

I love you.

Babies In Pants

T, you have worn onesies almost exclusively since we brought you home from the hospital.

You wore a dress the other day (a green St. Patricks dress), but it has been onesies other than that.

Well, today you wore a short sleeve shirt and pants for the first time and it was just the most adorable thing ever.

They were soft and pink and perfect.

I forgot how cute babies in pants could be.

I love you.

Floof

T, you have so much hair.

I mean, you have more hair than H and K had – put together – at the same age.

For now it is absolutely gorgeous and still dark.

But just on top, where one’s bald spot would normally be, you have a large whisp of hair bunched together.

It is frequently sticking up in the air after a good night sleep, but Mom likes bushing it and styling it after your baths.

All that to say, H calls it your “floof.”

Or – sometimes – your “floofy.”

As in:

Let me have a turn. I want to comb T’s floofly!

Mom and I have gotten a big kick out of it.

Don’t you ever cut that floof off…

I love you.
