H, you have been asking me if I love Jesus more than you.
I enjoy the precociousness of it all, but I do wonder where you get the comparison from.
After all, you have never asked me if I love K more than you. Or if I love mom more than you.
Maybe a teacher in Sunday School saying something like:
We should love Jesus more than anything.
And it’s true. We should.
But the way I explained it to you that seemed to get across best is that love is different.
I don’t love you the same way as I do Mom. I don’t love mom the same way I love Huck. And I certainly don’t love Huck the same way that I love Jesus.
The most similar way that I love is with my children. And I think that’s how God loves us too.
I love you.
