H, you have begun calling me out about not smiling.
It’s all about my body language really.
It usually happens when I am tired and trying to get you to go to bed.
You will start trying to stall the process, as all children do.
At some point, I will be frustrated and grumpy – and you will still be trying to tell me something or show me something.
Then you will stop and with a serious look ask me:
Dad, why are you not smiling?
See, sometimes I forget that 80 percent of communication is non-verbal.
And that you are not a little baby anymore.
Keep calling me out.
I love you.
