Put Me In Coach

T, you have this look in your heart.

Mom and I joke that it echoes the main thing that you are often thinking:

Put me in coach!

See, you can sit up – but you can not crawl or walk or talk yet.

No matter.

When you watch your sisters play you have this look in your eye like all you want in the world is to join them.

You act like you would run off with them horse-playing, laughing, and falling all over each other, in the other room if we would only allow you to.

You look at your sisters in awe that warms my heart.

I love you.

Pop Got Rona

Speaking of all the insanity of 2020 – Pop got rona.

I mean, what in the world?!

He has no idea where he caught it.

But he felt like he had a sinus infection, started showing a low-grade fever, and tested positive the next day.

Thankfully he is feeling better!

To top it off K, you started coughing a bit this weekend in Ruidoso and have been home from school the last two days with bronchitis.

Let’s all feel better, get this coronavirus insanity behind us and go to Hawaii or Switzerland or something.

I love you.

Quick Trip

Welp, it’s Monday night and work stinks.

One day I’ll be a business owner and private investor and writer.

But all I got is the cubicle for now.

I resent the fact that the changes at my work have bled so much into our home life. The ease of which I can come and go from work, the way the added stress colors everything i do, and the headaches (not a metaphor) I have at the end of the day.

All that aside – with rona cases at all-time highs, and cabin fever to the point of exhaustion – we threw caution to the wind this weekend and went to Ruidoso.

It was our standard quick trip: Leave after an early breakfast on Saturday. Eat lunch there. Swim at the hotel. Eat dinner out. Sleep. Breakfast. Swim till lunch. Lunch. Home for a late dinner.

We were there Saturday and Sunday and the state was already set to implement new lockdowns on Monday.

The wait-staff just seemed glad to have our business…

It was special too because this was T’s first trip to Ruidoso and first time to New Mexico!

I love you.
