Ms. Amy

Two funny stories about Ms. Amy – the new principal at your campus.

(Actually: Mrs. Amy.)

So we are friends of theirs. They are in our Sunday school class. We often go out to eat with their family after church. We know this. You know this. They know this. But everyone else does not know this.

First, K.

So at school, Ms, Amy goes by her last name. Right? Right.

But we have known them for years and you, and H, have called her “Ms. Amy,” long before you ever went to school at Southcrest.

K, by way of your repetition and familiarity, you have gotten your entire class calling the teacher “Ms. Amy” instead of “Ms. B!”

Second, H.

You were apparently walking by Ms. B with your class the other day. You reached out and gently touched her arm and said:

I know you.

Hannah, in your class, and in line beside you, replied back: “Yeah, I know her too.”

You stopped amd looked at Hannah and said:

But have you been to her house?

Hahahaha! 😛

I love you.

Delight In Days

Girls, you made it through your first day of school!

Y’all could not have been more cute all dressed up in your uniforms.

We got a lot of good pictures.

Pictures in front of our house, pictures in front of the school, and pictures with your teachers.

H, you said your favorite thing was everything. K, your favorite thing was playing on the playground.

And T, well, you are still a butterball of snugly goodness hanging out with mom while she is working from home.

Even when I am tired and stressed about work, I delight in days like this.

They go by too fast. But I am glad I get to spend them with you.

I love you.
