Chopped Your Hair

H, ya chopped your hair off today.

Now, don’t misunderstand me.

I don’t mean you snuck the scissors away when we weren’t looking and did something nefarious while hiding in the bathroom.

I mean, mom to you to the salon and she let you chop your hair off.

You have wanted to do this for a while now.

It touches your shoulders (barely) so thankfully I didn’t have a complete hart attack when I saw you.

My issue is that i loved your long hair and it made you look five years older!

Please stop growing up so fast.

I love you.

School Starts On Monday

H, you finally had kindergarten graduation today – three months late!

It’s all supposed to be a big end of the year celebration, but coronavirus has your school year messed up like it’s got everything else messed up too.

After graduation we took pictures, went to the restroom, and then went straight into first grade orientation.

After that Pop and Grams took you, H, to Rock Solid to your finish your last day of summer camp.

K, mom and I stayed with you at Southcrest and, after another short break, did Pre-K orientation.

H, you will have Mrs. Kirby for 1st grade.

K, you will have Mrs. Blair for Pre-K (3).

I am so proud of y’all.

I can’t believe school starts on Monday!

I love you.
