I Need To Go Potty

I Need To Go Potty

Saying, I need to go potty is not usually that big of a deal.

H, tonight after dinner I was washing your hands in our bathroom.

You announced:

“I need to go potty.”

I said:

“You do?”

There was a 5-second pause – and then you tooted.

You responded:

“Oh, I guess not. I just needed to toot.”

Hahahahah.

My perfect girl.

I love you.

You Made Everyone Laugh Last Night

You Made Everyone Laugh Last Night

H, you made everyone laugh last night at church.

We were at Awanas because that is what we do on Wednesdays.

One of the activities for this year is choir.

It’s nothing too crazy.

They play a few songs and we all try to sing and dance around with a lot of hand motions.

Our class doesn’t even get there till 6:45.

And by then, the 3-4-year-olds are so tired the participation rate is about 25 percent.

I said all that to say this: The choir teacher has a little girl that is in your class.

And last night you played with the daughter a little bit on the playground.

Fast-forward to parents picking up their kids 30 minutes later.

Everyone is going and coming – coming and going – and suddenly the choir teacher shows up to pick up your new friend.

Your face froze.

You got up from your chair, walked to the classroom door for a better look, asked four adults to stop what they were doing, and announced:

How is the choir teacher your mom?!

You made everyone laugh so hard.

I love you.

We Rocked Disney Live On Friday

We Rocked Disney Live On Friday

H, this last Friday, we rocked a Disney Live show.

In reality, it was more of a character experience/magic show – and, actually, was a lot better than I thought it would be!

Pop and Gammies came to town to watch K while we were gone.

K’s bedtime is 7 – and the show didn’t even start till then…

We got there early and found our seats on the floor.

Before it started, you and mom went shopping for souvenirs.

Out of everything – all the Disney princesses to chose from – you wanted the cowgirl from Toy Story, Jesse.

You brought your new Jesse doll back to your seat so proud of yourself.

And your face lit up when the show started.

It lit up even more when Jesse and Woody came out to sing.

The magic brooms that danced with Mickey Mouse was also one of your favorite parts.

Mickey swept with a broom and then told the broom to sweep by itself.

It did, and soon 12 brooms were dancing around the stage by themselves.

Before every magic part the cast would get the crowd to chant along with them:

Wiggle your fingers. Stomp the ground. Make some magic. All around!

What a great night.

My girl.

I love you.
