Santa Socks

K, you insisted on wearing Santa socks to school this morning.

The thing is, there were plenty of other clean socks to wear.

It’s not like we had not done laundry in a week or something…

I even pleaded for you to wear another pair.

But you were adamant.

Mom tried to be certain you were sure about your decision.

She asked:

Are you sure you are ok with Santa socks? Even though it is not Christmas time? And are you ok if your friends all ask you why you have socks like that on?

You responded:

Yes. I’ll just tell them you made me wear these.

😲

I love you.

Late Tonight

Yesterday feels like it was a week ago.

Late tonight I realized how much had gone on today.

I woke up this morning in Goodyear.

And then we had cotton grower meetings all day…

We had a breakfast meeting in Buckeye Elk’s Lodge.

We had a lunch meeting in Blythe, at the local water district.

And then we had a dinner meeting at Yuco Gin in Yuma.

I’m so tired.

But for some reason, I am not sleeping well this trip.

One more meeting tomorrow and then I fly home Thursday.

I miss you!

I love you.
