Sticky With Spilt Drinks

It was a good day.

First of all, it’s my week off!

I’m taking 3 weeks before I start my new job – out of crop insurance – back into cotton trading.

Tomorrow we have OIT up-doses in Midland – and Friday we leave for South Padre and San Antonio.

But I managed to keep Mon-Wed pretty chill this week. Mostly reading, writing, and going to the gym.

The best part was that today, I got you, H and K, from school (summer camp) at noon.

We joined mom for lunch at Rosa’s and then we went to the theater to see Boss Baby 2.

The place was dead quiet and the floor was sticky with spilt drinks, like every other movie house in America.

I’m so glad we get to be together so much over the next week before I have to go to training in California.

Early morning tomorrow and I can’t keep my eyes open.

I love you.

Beautiful Teeth

This is random, I know.

But I just have to say, K, that you have the absolute best smile of perfect little baby teeth.

It’s a mouth full of these straight beautiful teeth.

These picture-perfect – little baby chompers.

Ugh – but I know it’s fleeting.

You are going to be five in a few months. And soon after, your baby teeth will start to go.

I wish you could stay four for just a little longer.

My biscuit.

I love you.

Work With You

H, you had an orthodontist appointment yesterday.

Coming out of it, I looked at my watch and noticed it was almost 4 PM.

When I suggested we blow of the rest of the day and head home, you insisted:

No, I want to go to work with you!

So we went.

While I worked, you watched movies on my phone.

You ate animal crackers, got a Sprite from the break room, and we even stopped by to see Leandra.

But when you got home you bragged about it all to K.

So today, K, I got you from school at 3:45 an took you to work with me too.

And we did all of the same things…

I think all the interest in my work was brought on by my short time left.

I have been at ARMtech/AgriSompo for nearly 8 years!

I can’t believe tomorrow is my last day – it’s surreal.

But I am so glad that I got to share a glimmer of it with you.

I love you.
