A Day Early

Here’s a piece of advice for you.

Come home from a vacation, or a long weekend away, a day early.

We got back tired from OKC last week and – I tell you – a day of lounging around without any obligations was a needed break.

Of course, with a one-year-old, a four-year-old, and a seven-year-old, vacations are more exhausting than they used to be.

That or maybe I just need more margin than most.

Girls, I don’t think any of you put pants on all day…

I love you.

New Campus

So…I went to a church business meeting tonight and Southcrest approved the purchase of a new campus (building) for the school.

Kinda crazy!

$6 million for a location out on 50th Street.

It looks like the plan is to move pre-k thorough second grade to the main church campus. And move third grade through twelfth grade into the new building.

(It could be the building you all go to high school in !?)

Mom and I are not excited about the new location being so much further away from the house – but it looks like the church got a pretty good deal for what they needed/wanted.

I hope God’s hand is in every corner of our lives – school too.

I love you.

Just Snappin

K, with a little instruction over the last weeks…

You have taught yourself how to snap!

You did it for the first time last night while we were reading books.

And you were doing it tonight for the whole family while we were watching TV.

I just adore the way that your face lights up after you make your fingers pop together a few times in a row.

Tonight during prayers you were quietly just snappin away as fast as you could.

Of course, all this caused a little conflict.

H, you were so upset tonight that K could do something that you have yet to figure out…

Don’t sweat it though – I’ll teach you.

You too, T.

I love you.
