Phoenix Tonight

My girls, I’m in Phoenix tonight.

Last week I was all over California. Sacramento Valley. Central Valley. And San Joaquin Valley.

There were ducks and geese and every little small town gun shop that there is anywhere in Texas.

We met with growers about growing more cotton.

But we mostly listened to farmers worry about water and complain about politics, if you want to know the truth.

There is plenty to complain about out in California.

Tonight I ate at the Saddle Mountain Brewing Company in Goodyear Arizona.

In a twist of serendipity, Wikipedia tells me that:

Goodyear was established in 1917 with the purchase of 16,000 acres (65 km2) of land by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to cultivate cotton for vehicle tire cords.

I gotta go to bed.

I love you.
