Planning a Sleepover

I forgot to write a post about Memorial Day the weekend before last.

We spent it in Kerrville like we always do.

On Monday we drove to New Braunfels to eat lunch with my friends Natalie and Steve and Danny and Kelsey.

We hung out at Natalie and Steve’s house, ate pizza, and herded all you kids around like little chickens while us adults tried to visit a little.

6 adults, 8 kids!

Kendall, you bonded a little bit with Natalie and Steve’s daughter Hallie. By the end of the afternoon y’all were planning a sleepover.

Outside of that the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa felt a little heavy.

Grandpa is as slow getting around as ever and I can see it weighing on Grandma.

She follows him around helping him do nearly everything – and it wears her out.

We did make it to the Wild Flower farm in Fredericksburg one afternoon! Grandma came with us and we ate peach ice cream in the shade.

Grandpa and I worked on fixing the broken mailbox too.

You girls came to check on us and found a huge spider in a high web.

But when we went hunting it later with the BB gun, the spider was gone.

H and K, I showed you both how to shoot the BB gun and you took turns shooting a cactus next to the driveway.

I hope we get to do it all again next year.

I love you.
