On College

On College

Use your time in college to get an education.

Don’t necessarily study the subject you want a job in.

For example, you think you might want to be a High School teacher.

With a degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science, accounting, or the like – one could be an incredible teacher while having a host of other options also available.

However, degrees in psychology, gender studies, communications, art, and the like – offer much fewer options.

Choose what is hard – choose to acquire a skill.

I love you.

Learn Another Language

Learn Another Language

Learn another language.

I dabbled with being nearly fluent in Spanish towards the end of High School, but never stuck with it.

Knowing another language is a tool I sure wish I had in my belt.

It can also connect you to a culture other than your own.

Maybe I’ll pick it up again by the time you read this.

I love you.

Buy Experiences

Buy Experiences

Since life is so short, buy memories instead of things.

It seems like almost 90% of what we buy, we do not need.

So buy a fantastic experience instead.

I hope you choose to take that trip to Europe with your family – instead of upgrading your car.

You only live once.

And who cares how old your car is.

Stuff is overrated. Experience is where it is at.

I love you.
